Acquired: a century of collecting

3 November 2018 – 9 June 2019

Charting a 100-year history of collecting this exhibition explores artworks from Salford Museum & Art Gallery and the University of Salford collections.

Painting, ceramics, sculpture, print and digital works are brought together as the exhibition considers how collections were and are supported, and in turn questions how public collections can support artists.

From artists including Jacob Epstein and Paula Fischer, to Shezad Dawood and Yang Yongliang, the two collections are united to illustrate the acquisitions through decades to the present day.
