17 May – 6 June 2018
An exhibition of 40 paintings by Manchester artist Ghislaine Howard is on show at St Ann’s Church in the city centre and at the House of Fraser on Deansgate.
Ghislaine’s works are based on last May’s Manchester Arena bombing. Much of her works have been inspired by Baktash Noori, a Muslim man who stood blindfolded for several days on Market Street in Manchester, with a sign saying: “I’m Muslim and I trust you. Do you trust me enough for a hug?” A film on Baktash is available on YouTube.
The paintings will be on show at St Ann’s Church from 17 May until 6 June and in the House of Frazer window from 27 May until 5 June.
Further information on the inspiration behind the paintings is available on Ghislaine’s website.
