Cumbria DFAS has organised a free lecture – Rivers in Art – by Ann Clements – in aid of the Cumbria Flood Relief Fund, which is open to all.

The lecture will take place on Saturday 25th June, at 2.30 pm, at Keswick School, Vicarage Hill, Keswick CA12 5QB.

Ann Clements is a national expert in the history of art.  In this lecture she will explore the very wide imagery inspired by rivers from a second century Egyptian mosaic via 15th century miniatures to Whistler’s audacious Nocturnes. You are guaranteed a fascinating tour, however one in which you will stay quite dry!
