The Glories of Liverpool Architecture

Lecturer: Ed Glinert

Ed Glinert is a much-published author, cruise ship speaker and a prolific tour guide, working in Manchester, London and Liverpool as New Manchester Walks, New London Walks and New Liverpool Walks. He has written more than a dozen books for many major publishers, including The London Compendium (Penguin, 2003), The Manchester Compendium (Penguin, 2008) and 111 Places in Yorkshire You Shouldn’t Miss (Emons, 2021). He has also edited the entire Sherlock Holmes canon for Penguin Classics. He specialises in music (most genres), literature, architecture and art.

What other city can match the glories of the Three Graces along the waterfront? Inland there are monumental Egyptian ventilation shafts, banking palaces, dock warehouses, and the finest neo-Classical hall in the country. Oh, and two Cathedrals.
