Exciting lecture programme for our 2019-2020 season

We have now finalised the lecture programme for our upcoming new season. We hope you will agree that it offers an exciting range of talks by some of the UK’s most experienced and knowledgable lecturers.

There’s something for everyone! Topics range from Matcham architecture to jewellery to Egyptian textiles to Rococo silver to railway posters and much more. Our October lecture coincides with our 10 year anniversary and to mark the occasion we have invited Antiques Roadshow expert Lars Tharp to talk to us about one of his specialist subjects, Chinese porcelain.

You can read about all of our upcoming lectures here.

The Committee is also currently investigating other events to add to this exciting programme, such as Study Days, day excursions, cultural tours and more. We will be adding new events very soon and will notify you once the details have been finalised.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Lowther Pavilion on 4 September 2019, at 2.00 pm, for the first lecture of the season, Frank Matcham’s Masterpieces: Theatre Design & Architecture in Britain.
