Splendours of the Sikh Raj: Arms and Armour

22 November 2025  –  29 November 2026

For over 300 years, the Sikhs have been known for their strong sense of justice, bravery and martial skills. This exhibition of exquisitely crafted historic arms and armour tells stories of faith and identity in the multicultural melting pot of the Sikh kingdoms.

This exhibition is part of the project Taking Stock, which has reviewed and researched under-used collections in collaboration with local residents and communities to give them new purpose.

We would like to thank Amarjit Singh and Gurtek Singh for their expertise which have supported the development of this exhibition, and the wider Sikh community in Manchester for supporting the events programme accompanying this exhibition.
